About

Tanisha Wallace Porath

I was born a poor black girl in…well actually I had a pretty middle class existence in Anchorage, Alaska where I was born and raised.  I studied photography at an art college in Seattle, the name of which, try as I might, I can’t quite remember.   Soon after I graduated I moved to Portland, OR with my husband and started my career as an editorial photographer.  Some of my clients have included: Willamette Week, The Oregonian and several other periodicals.  I have two roommates that I happen to have given birth to, my daughter 11 and my son 14.  I became a widow on April 2, 2013.

I became a writer on April 3, 2013.

  1. Hi tanisha, this is Steve Boggs, the silly man whom you met a while ago, in springfield oregon, and who has been petrified of writing you one of my long, droning letters! I’ve written, lets see, 5 of them, and failed to send any because I don’t want to mess up any part of your life! I just want to say that you are truly an amazing, delightful, and of course, smokin’ hot woman! I just saw something about you and another writer maybe going on tour! I’m glad the world is recognizing your genius! (And, the aforementioned Smokin’ Hotness!) Have a delightful experience, m’lady of marvels!
